Do you wonder if God has brought about the trials that you are currently wading through? Does he purposely put us through difficult times?
This story in Genesis is about how Joseph's brothers threatened to kill him and then sold him into slavery. Joseph had to endure many hardships in Egypt before he found out why God had put him in that place (to save his family from famine).
The bible includes many examples where God has put people in a place for his larger purpose. But even if your circumstance is not for some grand plan like Joseph, God will use difficult trials to bring us nearer to him and to grow us to spiritual maturity. Try to have perspective in your trials, seek his will for your life, and trust in him to deliver you!
...and don't forget to love God, love others, and use every minute for His glory!
