The Garden Tomb - John 19:41

John 19:41
"Now in the place where He was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid."

-----------------------

Attached you will see a picture of the tomb that Kay and I visited in Israel.  It is indeed near the place called Golgotha (place of the skull) that people were crucified at in Jesus's time.  Whether this is the actual place where they buried Jesus' body, we don't know for sure.  But, it is somewhere in that area around Jerusalem and probably looked similar to this tomb.  And the important part of the story is that he was not there for very long - but that part of the story is for tomorrow.

Enjoy this Sabbath day of rest and get ready for a surprising turn to the story tomorrow.  Imagine the despair that the disciples were feeling on this day 2000 years ago, but rejoice in the privilege that you know how the next act plays out.  Finally ready your mind and spirit to experience this Easter in a deeper way than you have ever before.

...and don't forget to love God with all your heart, love others as He does, and use every minute for His will and to His glory!
