Christ is risen! Christ is risen indeed! Can you imagine how Mary Magdalene and the other Mary must have felt when they went to the tomb early in the morning and saw the stone rolled away and encountered an angel? I am not surprised that the faithful women were the first to head back to the tomb very early in the morning (the men were probably still asleep) ;) And even more importantly, Mary Magdalene later returned to the tomb and was the first human to see the risen Christ!
The resurrection of Christ has been debated by so-called scholars for many years but the importance of our resurrected Lord should be clear to all of us. In I Corinthians 15, Paul says "If Christ has not been raised, then your faith is useless and you are still guilty of your sins." Paul is pretty direct in saying that if Jesus did not overcome the grave, then our faith is *useless*! Did you hear that? Do you really believe it? If Christ did not die for our sins and be raised again, then we are still guilty in those sins and we are condemned for eternity.
But our Lord IS risen, so give all your thanks and praise to Jesus today that He did cover our sins with His resurrected blood. And stand firm in your defense of your Risen Lord and share with non-believers what He has done for you and what He can do for them! Have a blessed Easter everyone!
...and don't forget to love God with all your heart, love others as He does, and use every minute for His will and to His glory!
